Our view into the future
Together with you, we are looking optimistically and extremely positively into the year 2020 with all upcoming developments and planned innovations. As an owner-managed modern family business, long-term orientation, reliability and consistency continue to form the foundation of Wiewelhove, on which you too can rely.
We will strengthen the resulting goal of healthy growth with a very special project in 2020. Wiewelhove will invest massively in the expansion of capacities and is currently planning the construction of a further production plant at the Ibbenbüren site. The acquisition of open spaces in recent years has made it possible to build a new plant on a greenfield site with all the positive aspects of design. In stage I, a production plant with an adjacent warehouse will be created. In terms of content, we will continue to focus on the contract manufacturing of solid dosage forms and, against this background, will represent the areas of tableting, film coating and, above all, sugar coating in our new plant.
Immediately adjacent to this site, a multilevel administration building was acquired, which will be considered as the head office for Wiewelhove in the future.
In addition to the upcoming construction project to expand capacity, we have also invested heavily in our existing plants, facilities and technologies. The development equipment was expanded to include a Gerteis Mini-Pactor and a Bohle BFC 5 film coater. In addition, we also aim to expand our overall development capacities in the area of galenic development, both in terms of personnel and space.
Against the background of the EU Directive 2011/62/EU, Wiewelhove successfully implemented the topics serialization and temper evident at the beginning of last year and has been producing serialized finished products since then.
A machine capacity expansion has taken place through the installation and commissioning of a further Gerteis compactor and an additional Korsch XL 400 tablet press.
Wiewelhove also continues to focus on the coating sector. For this reason, investments were made last year in the development and installation of new coating systems for automatic suspension application and these topics were implemented.
At the same time, our external image and our visibility to you are now even more clearly presented as we see ourselves. Against this background, our logo has undergone a visual evolution and our website has also been updated, modernized and will inform you about Wiewelhove in the following and keep you up to date with new developments.
